Leveraging the Cayre family’s experience in retail, Aurora began as a leading owner and operator of retail properties in New York City. Since its founding in 2004, Aurora has assembled an impressive portfolio of retail, office, multifamily, and condominium properties across the five boroughs of New York City and the high streets of Miami, Chicago, and other major US cities obtaining over 150 assets totaling more than 5 million square feet.

Through strategic purchases, Aurora has grown to become one of the largest property owners in Manhattan’s iconic SoHo neighborhood and Meatpacking District, where it is also a major, ground-up developer of properties that weave modern construction with the historic fabric of their surroundings. Aurora has been credited with completely transforming the Meatpacking District over the past decade into one of the most in-demand shopping, dining and cultural hubs of the City. The depth of construction capability across asset classes has made the company truly unique among its peers.

In addition to its own portfolio, Aurora has focused on building a strong presence in real estate bridge and construction lending for commercial and residential real estate in New York City. To date, Aurora has closed over $1 billion in debt transactions and has multiple warehouse facilities with leading US banks.
